A Guide to special place in Forte dei Marmi

We are delighted to welcome you to Casa del Maestro, and to introduce you to Forte dei Marmi — a destination that blends Tuscan charm with seaside elegance, perfect for slow mornings, refined pleasures, and timeless memories.
From local markets and beach clubs to art, wellness, and evenings under the stars, here is a selection of real places and experiences to make the most of your stay.

Weekly Markets & Antiques

  • Wednesday Market – Piazza Marconi
Every Wednesday morning (8:00–13:30), Forte’s main square comes alive with stalls offering high-quality fashion, leather goods, linens, and more. One of Italy’s most famous open-air markets, it’s a must for a morning stroll and a bit of style hunting.

  • Antique Market – Piazza Dante
Held every second Saturday and Sunday of the month, this elegant market features antiques, vintage pieces, and decorative objects, displayed beneath the trees in a peaceful corner of town. Evening openings in summer.

The Festival of Sant’Ermete

From 26 to 28 August, Forte dei Marmi celebrates its patron saint with one of the most cherished events of the season. Don’t miss the Focata — a traditional bonfire lit on the beach at night — and the vibrant atmosphere throughout the town centre.
The festival also features the largest open-air market of the year, with over 200 stalls offering fashion, crafts, and local delicacies.

The Fortino & The Museum of Satire

At the heart of Forte stands the Fortino Leopoldo I, a small 18th-century fortress now home to the Museum of Satire and Caricature. It hosts a permanent collection of drawings and editorial cartoons from around the world, along with rotating art exhibitions during the year.
